Many people ask me, “how in the world are you able to do email readings?”
The following up question to that tends to either be:
- Don’t you have to be in the same room with the person for the reading to work?
or
- Can you really do a tarot reading, psychic reading, astrology reading, or even spiritual counseling by email?
So in this blog post, I want to discuss email readings and clarify some of the misconceptions I’ve heard.
I hope that by the time you finish reading this post, you’ll have more confidence in receiving an email reading or, at the very least, understanding how they work.
Energy is Energy – Even in Reading by Email
The first thing to understand is that energy is energy. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the same room with the reader or not. The moment the reader focuses on you, they are making an energy connection with you.
That is, provided they actually do focus on you.
While some will try to tell you that a photograph is needed, that isn’t true. You have a unique energy signature that exists in both the physical and non-physical world. We all do. All a person has to do is think of another person to link into and connect with their energy.
Once an energy connection has been established, anything is possible. Including:
- Looking into the person’s past
- Feeling their emotional energy
- Reading their surface thoughts
- Receiving information about them from spiritual guides
- Using various divination tools such as tarot cards or astrology to get information
The information available doesn’t just have to be about the possible future either. Information concerning the here and now, the past, and even info from past lives is also available.
Likewise, I teach my students how to “surf energy.” In essence, anyone that you have ever known is usually energetically connected to you. Because of this, it is possible to focus on, for example, your energy and then jump from your energy to someone you know. That someone might be an ex, potential relationship partner, child, family member, friend, co-worker, employer, animal companion – the list could go on and on.
The bottom line is that all readings involve connecting with energy. Energy cannot be bound by time or space. It is perfectly possible to make an energy connection with a person via email and provide information and insights to them.
Email Sessions are in Many Ways the Same for Me as Any Other Session
So now that we know energy is energy, you may be wondering what exactly happens on my end before, during, and after the session. Let’s explore this.
Understand that when a person books an email reading, called an email exchange on my site, that person gets manually added to my calendar. Their session will be completed either Tuesday or Thursday, depending on the next available time slot.
From your perspective, it’s straightforward. You fill out the form with your question and any background information you wish to provide. Pay the fee. Then wait for me to complete your email session.
On my end, however, on the day of the session, the following happens.
Before: The time I spend before an email session is the same as I spend before my in-person and phone sessions. It’s my time to meditate, pray, and do my protection and opening rituals. It is only after this has been completed that I open up the email, focus on what was written, and then allow myself to connect to the sender’s energy.
During: If I choose to use a divination system, such as astrology or tarot, I’ll draw my cards or look up the astrological information. I’ll write this down in the email and follow it up with my interpretation. The interpretation, of course, will relate to the question posed.
Suppose I choose to “channel” or answer the question from a spiritual counseling perspective. In that case, I’ll listen to my guides and follow my inner voice and intuition as I make suggestions and offer guidance.
After: As soon as I’m finished, the email is spell-checked. It is then copied to an email and sent to the sender. Once that has been done, I repeat the process to my next email reading or in-person client.
Email Readings are in Many Ways the Best Way to Get a Session
I personally believe that email sessions are some of the best sessions available. There are three main reasons I feel this way.
1st: Email sessions are affordable and do not require the time commitment of private phone sessions, retreats, or yearly mentoring.
2nd: In email sessions, there are no distractions. You can share as much background information as you would like and your question and get my response. You can take your time doing this, making sure it sounds “just right.”
Likewise, though I’m not in the business of entertaining, many are happy about the fact that I’m not receiving any verbal or body language clues. They know that my attention is entirely on them and their situation and question.
3rd: Email sessions can be printed out and referred back to. Regardless of if my response is a half-page or two pages, you can look back at what is said and contemplate on it as often as you would like.
While I use to record my private phone sessions, I no longer do so for various reasons. With email, however, everything is right there in front of you.
Summary
As you can see, email sessions are not anything to be worried about. They work just as well as in-person and phone sessions. Like I said at the beginning of this blog post, energy is energy.
