Regardless of what you call it, intention setting follows a specific three-step process. Those who coach know what this process is, and they spend the majority of the process focusing only on one step.
That’s not to say the other two steps aren’t important, it’s that the first two steps are easy compared to the third.
Let’s take a look at all three steps, and let’s do a deep dive into the third step that trips so many people up.
1. Make a Conscious Connection with the Universe
Making a connection with the Higher Power is a prerequisite to manifesting. Without this connection, your manifestations are going to fail. Most people make this connection through visualization. Other ways to connect include meditation or prayer.
2. Ask for what you want
Once you have made that connection, you now must ask for what you want. You must ask with intent and determination, and you must feel happy for what you are asking.
When you ask, be clear on what you want. Understand that the more specific you are, the longer the manifestation can take. So get clear, but only ask for what is essential.
Some ways of doing this are writing your intention on a piece of paper and burning it, journaling about it, or starting a vision board.
3. The secret to manifesting your dreams
People that have mastered the Law of Attraction know how important step three is. It is the step that most individuals overlook or even outright ignore.
It is a simple step, but one that people make more complex than need be. Ignoring the third step will kill your wishes, dreams, and intentions. Any goals you set will never come completely to fruition.
When you add the third step, it’s like magic finally happening, and you get to be part of it all. Wishes, dreams, and intentions that never did occur now start to manifest before your eyes.
When you connect with the Universe and ask for something, you create potential. That potential has little to no chance of manifesting without the third step.
What is this mysterious third step that eludes so many and creates so much frustration?
The Secret of All Successful Manifestation is Action.
The magic ingredient is action.
The third step of taking action goes by many names.
Example phrases or words include:
- Get it done.
- Get to it.
All these are words or phrases for getting off your behind and doing something.
There are entire seminars devoted to this step. Most of them are not focused on using the Law of Attraction. They are business-oriented. People charge hundreds, even thousands of dollars for them. But what you learn in them is so simple.
What is it that they teach that is so simple?
You cannot manifest anything by sitting around doing nothing. Nothing can occur unless you are taking conscious, meaningful action.
Now, that doesn’t mean every action will lead to immediate results. That’s an error in thinking too. If first, you don’t get the results you hope for, know the Universe is trying to tell you, “there’s a better way.”
You can’t be afraid of failure, things not working out, or starting over. You have to do it and measure the results.
This measuring of the results is so important. It lets you know if you’re on track or need to go in a different direction. Going a different direction DOES NOT mean abandoning the original thought or idea. It DOES mean trying something different to get there.
Every Great Accomplishment Starts by Taking the First Step
Common excuses for not taking action include:
- I don’t know what to do?
- I don’t know how to do it?
- I’m afraid.
- What if it doesn’t work?
- What if people make fun of me?
- It’s too hard.
- It’s too complicated.
- I don’t have any help.
- I don’t want to waste my time.
- I don’t have the money.
Each of these excuses has a very simple rebuttal.
- With research, you can learn what and how to do it.
- It’s okay to be afraid. Take action anyway.
- If it doesn’t work, you’ll learn why and discover a better way.
- People always make fun of the things they don’t understand or believe possible.
- Nothing is too hard or complicated. You have to find the right resources and break stuff down into simpler steps.
- You can get help. Try asking for it and keep asking until you get it.
- Nothing worth doing is a waste of time, no matter the initial results.
- If you don’t have the money, you’ll first have to work on that. Consider another job, a loan, an investor, etc. You may need to do more and take extra steps.
The bottom line is this, each time you come up with an excuse on why you can’t take action, what you are saying to the Universe is, “this isn’t worth it to me.”
If you want success, you must act. Without action, you will fail. Find a way to take action. That’s the only way to become a success story.
