Mystic John Culbertson

John was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, in 1978, to Jim and Deborah Stafford Culbertson. After his parents separated and his mother suffered a devastating stroke when John was a child, he was raised by his great-grandmother (Anna) with his maternal grandmother (Dolores) and grandfather (James) helping to watch over him.

His entire childhood was spent in Saint Joseph, where he fondly remembers walking the parkway, spending time at Krug Park, and attending Catholic Mass at Saint Mary's Catholic Church. He also greatly enjoyed the time he spent with his cousin, Brian, who always felt more like a brother to him. His mother would recover sufficiently to give birth to a sister (Rebecca) and brother (Michael) and, despite the fact he didn't get to spend a lot of time with them, he loved them both dearly.

John attended the Saint Joseph's Co-Cathedral School from kindergarten through eighth grade and Bishop LeBlond Memorial High School for all four years of high school until he graduated in 1998. During high school he spent the majority of his time with the theater and music departments appearing in such productions as How to Eat Like a Child, Winners, Black Comedy, You Ain't Nothin But a Werewolf, and Give My Regards to Broadway. He would later graduate from Avila University with a B.A. in the psychology of human behavior.

John will marry Rose Pitzer in June of 2010. He met Rose at a retreat for those desiring to develop their intuition and 'psychic ability'. They currently live in Florida with a dog and two cats, where John devotes himself to writing. 

As a writer, John doesn't want to be labeled as only writing new-age non-fiction. He hopes to be seen as a well rounded writer. He has begun work on his second book entitled "Miracle of the Angels", a fictional novel with more of a Christian/spiritual theme, which is expected to be published in late 2010. 

Several other titles are currently in development including a teen fantasy fiction novel, more new-age non-fiction, and a horror novel.

His particular delight is the mysterious, paranormal, and occult world which he engages with much enthusiasm.

His knowledge of the new age/metaphysical world began accumulating when he was still a young child. At a very young age he found that he was experiencing strong empathetic feelings with and toward others. Even today he still finds that he feels others pains and emotions very clearly. 

He also 'hears' information and has always had what he thought of as  "inner" dialogues with himself, but he now knows those are both clairaudient and telepathic abilities.

During his childhood, John started reading books about the occult, new age, psychic, spiritual, and esoteric works.

John has worked hard to develop a very personal and special relationship with his two primary spirit guides, Alexander (his protector) and Marcius (his life guide). There are other spiritual guides, angels, and Ascendant Masters that John has had the pleasure of working with and connecting to, but these two have always personally been by his side.

Outside of his metaphysical and business life, John enjoys traveling, computers, reading books, ghost writing, web design, games and gaming (especially role-playing games by White Wolf), watching movies, and both watching and performing in live theater (especially musical theater).
