MY ANGEL GUIDE TOLD ME TO…
By
John Maerz BA LMT
These days
everyone seems to be “channeling” angels, spirit guides,
Egyptian priests, wise men and a whole host of entities
from the “other side.” This is EXTREMELY dangerous to
your spiritual well being. Let’s discuss why.
Point one: The assumption is that just because their “spirit of
choice” is on the other side that that somehow makes them smarter
and wiser than we are. This assumption is fraught with many
difficulties. If you’re stupid “here” you’re going to be stupid
“there.” Are you any smarter because you’ve taken a boat trip out of
sight from your loved ones? Additionally; do you think that if you
weren’t a nice person “here” that you automatically become a nice
person when you move? You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to
figure out that moving doesn’t change your demeanor or your wisdom;
even if it’s from one dimension to the other. Yet, we have scads of
people swearing by the advice of spirits who are unknown, unseen and
untested. Everyone on the other side understands what it’s like
there; good ones and bad ones alike. If you open your heart and
mind, indiscriminately and uncensored, like a radio antenna to
whomever, or worse, to whatever may be passing by looking for a
comfortable place to reside, you may acquire and be unable to get
rid of more than you bargained for. Not-so-nice entities may use you
as a gas station by “advising” action that leads you into discord
and encouraging emotional outbursts that provide opportunities for
them to feed on the energy that’s released through the turmoil of
your conflict. They will accomplish this by initially expending
their energy through a pendulum, ouija board or voices with
information so accurate it will “knock your socks off” and gradually
diminish the supply so you open and reach more and more for their
“counsel.” This allows them to feed on your energy and develop, in
you, a dependency on them for their input. By then you are theirs to
use and drain as they see fit. This is called spirit attachment.
Point two: There are “good” entities and guides that help but
they will NEVER tell you what to do. They know the choice for action
must be yours. Somehow we’ve been brought up to believe that
authority lies outside of ourselves. Is it any wonder that so many
of us are lost? It is literally the blind leading the blind. Our
government tells us what laws to obey. Our parents tell us the
traditions that must be followed. Dear Abby tells us how to act. Dr.
Ruth tells us how to have sex and Dr. Spock tells us how to raise
our children. WHAT HAPPEN TO THINKING FOR OURSELVES? Why have we
given away our power to decide and be a whole human being?
Point three: If you’re going to have sex don’t you use some
form of contraception so you don’t get pregnant or catch a disease?
Would you have sex with someone you know nothing about? Then why
would you open yourself to a “stranger” just because they’re talking
to you in your mind? Do you think that some form of filtering or
protection is in order? Even computers have firewalls and security
measures. What makes us assume that we are immune to the evils of
the world just because we are a “good” person? Innocence is no
guarantee. Remember Little Red Riding Hood? You may not be lucky
enough to encounter a generous woodsman to chop the wolf’s head off!
It’s time you took charge of your own spiritual growth. Here
are a few recommendations; First, higher guidance doesn’t come
through voices; it comes through feeling and intuition. Listen to
your own “gut” feeling. It is ALWAYS right. Don’t ever let anyone
tell you different. Second, God brings observable issues into your
life that mirror the circumstances you are going through. This is
called synchronicity. Be detached, objective and observant. Your
surroundings will tell you who and what you are dealing with. Third,
be discriminating as to where you apply your efforts and energy. It
should go where you choose, not where others expect or demand it. If
you feel guilty about not putting it in the direction recommended by
a “friend” or a “guide” your antenna should immediately go up as an
alarm. Your “advisors” have ulterior motives. Fourth, when you do
inner work or meditation, always surround yourself with your highest
vision or feeling of God before you go inward to find the quiet. If
your advisors are truly your guides they will leave you alone to
center yourself and make your own choices. They will not chatter
advice at you while you are meditating. Lastly, a consistent regimen
of meditation, chakra exercises, self-discipline and honest work
will keep your conscience clear and form a strong spiritual immune
system that will negate the need for any “resistive” style of
precautions. To resist your enemy acknowledges their presence and
feeds their power. Better to refocus on positive constructive
effort. Let the “evil” die of starvation. Think for yourself. You’ll
have no regrets.
